Would you like to take a day-trip to Hollywood and tour a real-life movie studio?  Would it change your answer any if it's been almost 1,000 years since the world ended, and the studio ruins are teeming with mutant wildlife?

Meet Lyla Brangwyn.  Ever since she was a little girl, she's wanted to own and operate the best library in all of Cross Town.  But in order to do that, her collection has begun to expand beyond the offerings of her own time.  Lyla is one of many folks who seek their fortunes in the old-world ruins of Earth, but she's not in it for her.  She simply wants to provide a balanced perspective of the "pre-apocs", so that her society doesn't make the same mistakes.

...oh, okay, she is in it for her a little bit.  She's got a special interest in cinema, and one era's output is not enough for her.

To these ends, Lyla has recruited you (yes, you) to join her on her latest journey into Old Hollywood.  Her goal is to find a lead on a vault of films hand-picked for preservation by the pre-apocs...but who knows what she'll find there...?  It's up to you and Lyla's other friend Rocket to find out!

Lyla & You is an interactive story.  You'll be asked to make decisions and imagine how you would react, as you are inserted into the narrative as a diagetic character.  Lyla and Rocket will remember your name, learn more about you, and generally clown around post-apocalyptic Los Angeles en route to one of four possible endings.  Click the links to proceed, and save your position in the story to pick up later.
